Hi all,
I have a strange routing Problem im Schwabmünchen

on the Robert Bosch Straße I get no roads near target on the Oregon,

Hi,
I finally found a case which creates such a message:
The way

is part of mp-rel

So, WanMil guessed right, it is probably the mp code that creates these
ways.
The mp code creates a new way

Hi Marko,
OK, it is not dead-end for everyone, because the highway=pedestrian area
(plaza) 35826685 is connected to the driveway. We may route pedestrians
on the edges of the highway=pedestrian area. We might route bicycles too
(AFAIU, it is allowed in Finland with maxspeed=20, but not
Hi Geoff,
In both cases, the paths were not joined up in the OSM data. I have fixed
it now.

Strange, I checked for that in JOSM at least I did for the bridleway?!
Perhaps I need glasses ;-)
Thanks for the corrections, I'll give it a test.
Cheers, Geoff

Hi Gerd,
I think the --no-trim-to-polygon patch works as expected! :-)
Tile boundaries are now a multiple value of 2048, I only need to adjust each
following polygon after I have done (or at least stop after split) a session,
but the resulting areas.lists seem to match now.
Next thing is to
Hi,
I've noticed some strange routing on certain junctions, where it either
gives me a routing error on MapSource/Basecamp or the GPS does something
crazy, like a zigzag or a direct line that doesn't follow a road. I can
show a picture of basecamp showing the problem.
I've generated the map
Hi Francisco,
please try if you can reproduce the problem with r2530. A routing error was
fixed with 2475.

All sorted.
Seems I had download too small an area for OSM data for testing. Downloaded and
tested on a bigger area and it is now routing fine.
Thanks for the help Steve. I will make sure I take a second look for
disconnected routes next time (probably easier to spot on the way history web
Hi all,
today berndw found out that the problem is definitely triggered by the
option x-housenumbers.
Removing this option from the config, routing on the Robert Bosch
Straße works perfectly.

Hi Gerd,
I wrote some months ago about a possible project to highlight
dead-ends on the map, but nobody replied. I think it should be a set
of 'dead-end layers', one for each mode of routing. Then you could
easily survey all those nearby suspectable cases when going for a walk
or a bicycle
