Hi,
Felix suggested to use e.g.
levels = 0:24, 1:22, 2:21, 3:20, 4:19, 5:18
levels_overview_map = 0:16, 1:14, 2:12, 3:10
If one uses style rules that assign level instead of resolution, it would be
unclear
what the level means when overview-levels are also specified.
If I got this right, we have

Hi Henning,
that's already possible:
type=route route=bicyle { apply role=forward { set foo=bar } }
Oh...I missed it. But then it shouldn't be necessary to use special
code, because you can manage it via style, or
as long as mkgkmap then doesn't complain about too many levels...
fine
(max levels is 0-7)...
but of course, that's better.
And it would be good to have:
--levels_overview_map=levels code
Change the way that the levels on the overvie_map

Hello Gerd,
the algorithms used in mkgmap could explain some shifting of elements, but I

The img format requires mkgmap to distribute data to different so called sub

Hello Gerd,
I think the background polygon is missing. Please check: Do you use the

If yes: Older versions of mkgmap did not always create transparent maps with
this switch.
I am not using --transparent, and I am always using the latest

Hello Minko,
In Mapsource you can adjust the projection angle of each map with Ctrl Alt A
if that is what you are looking for.
Partial success, thank you. In fact changing the viewing angle in
Mapsource results in exactly the deformations I am experiencing with my map.

This sounds quite promising, I will try it out. Basically I could
leave
the default unchanged and assign the desired ID to natural=land in the
polygons style?
yes, but bare in mind that natural=land is also a common OSM tag.
If someone wants to render an island in a lake with

Hi all,
today I've committed routable_types_v6.patch + a few small mods.
I would really like to know if a routable map from Garmin contains lines
with routable types in resolution 24 which do not appear in the NOD
section.
I don't own any City Navigator map, so I can't check
Hi Michael,
But I think Minko got it by pointing to the viewing angle in Mapsource.
sure, Minkos explanation is much better.
