I fixed the character escaping bug in splitter. I have no access to svn, so
please can somebody check my changes and apply them, if they are correct?

Thanks Christoph, I've just checked in a (slightly different) fix. The 'type'
attribute value also needed escaping, and there is in fact no need to escape
as gt; (as per the XML spec). Let me know if you have any further problems.

I found a bug in splitter, but don't know how to fix it.
The problem is the following:
There is a way, that is member of a relation and has special characters in its
role-tag.
