I renamed mnemosyne but now i cant rename it back to .mnemosyne,
whenever i try I just get an error message "you must type a file name"
and in addition when reinstalling mnemosyne is not creating a new .mem
folder

Well, try to create a virtual machine on your computer (Virtualbox, VMWare)
and install Mnemosyne into it.
It should work this time. But it will take some time to install windows into
the virtual machine. But it's worth the try.
If it works, you can either reinstall your windows, or use Mnemosyne
How did the library files and qt.pyd end up in the .mnemosyne directory in the
first place? That seems rather strange to me.
I would suggest testing with completely tabula rasa;
-uninstall Mnemosyne
-deleting .mnemosyne (actually renaming it, to keep the data)
-do a complete search on your file
Safe mode did not work, I changed the error in the file location
however still no backups any other possible errors?

They should not be in that directory, but
