Hey all,

I'm reading through the GSMA TS.34 spec, IoT Device Connection
Efficiency Guidelines,
https://www.gsma.com/iot/gsma-iot-device-connection-efficiency-guidelines/

One of the sections, 5.10, outlines a set of requirements for modems
that support Device Host Identity Reporting (DHIR); which seems a way
to let the network know what kind of device (host) is using the
specific modem device. This reporting is supposedly done using OMA-DM.

In ModemManager we support setting up OMA-DM sessions in QMI devices
through the OMA interface:
https://www.freedesktop.org/software/ModemManager/doc/latest/ModemManager/gdbus-org.freedesktop.ModemManager1.Modem.Oma.html

But I believe we're lacking the ability to initiate the type of
session that would trigger the DHIR, likely because the initial OMA-DM
support was targeting the CDMA activation procedures.

Does anyone know more about this DHIR feature? Is this something being
set up actively out there?
