I've seen this firmware bug before. AT&T uses the default eps bearer for
Internet connectivity and the default setting in quectel's firmware is
incorrect for most subscriptions.
Setting the default bearer apn to an empty string before enabling the modem
fixed this for me.

I've seen similar messages in the past due to power supply issues.
If you have an oscilloscope available, probe the main power supply
line to your modem module and verify that the input voltage does not
drop below the allowable input voltage.
You may need to add more bulk capacitance to your boar

If your sim card matches with an installed MBN carrier config, that
MBN will usually inject default APN settings each time it is activated
by a new sim card installation.
Depending on the carrier, you may be able to disable MBN autoselection
with the AT+QMBNCFG command and force the use of the gen
Amol,
Try this 77-mm-sierra.rules udev rules file with port type hints for
Sierra MDM9x30 chipset modems.

Sven,
I've been using the HL7588 successfully with ModemManager for a year
or two. There are quite a few patches required to make this work. Some
of them likely need to be rebased onto a more recent modemmanager
revision. Feel free to take a look around

Check out the paul/Infineon branch for some udev rules that should work in
your case.
You should be able to blacklist the offending ACM interface using a simile
udev rule.
Alternatively, also on that branch is a work in progress plugin for the
HL75xx series that uses the NCM interfaces. There are
In your /etc/config/network file, try replacing
option device '/sys/devices/pci:00/:00:14.0/usb1/1-3/1-3:1.8'
with
option device '/sys/devices/pci:00/:00:14.0/usb1/1-3/'
or whatever path mmcli -m shows as the device path.

Hey Nathaniel,
I've got ModemManager working on the latest version of lede with few
problems. Can you provide some debug logs (run ModemManager --debug).
Make sure to run the following after starting ModemManager so that device
events are reported properly
. /etc/modemmanager/modemmanager.common
).
I attached a new patch that should address your other requests. Let me
know if there are any other issues or if I missed anything.
