That's cool you managed to catch what he was saying as well as you did. I have that song recorded also from SXSW where he played with the other drummer fellow as Ugly Cassanova. It was a really cool set, but hard to make out even on the recording. I think he might have used different dates at the show here, like 1779, and 1976. Have to give it another listen. He's making more direct statements in that song.. even though it's somewhat cryptic, it's less cryptics than usual! He also played an Aphex Twin cover here. He might have been kidding. He said it was a trance song, and if you are really drunk you can understand it and then he strummed some of those echoey notes out like he does for about 10 mins and he was right, I was drunk enough to get it. --- On 2.26.00, the Mouse played the Icehouse in Victoria B.C.
