At one point people were getting slammed for trying to introduce new and interesting music (in the same vein as MM) to the group. Once it was decided (By some ass I assume) all topics should be strictly about the mouse and nothing else, there was a two week long conversation about which color Modest Mouse T-shirt was coolest (Personally I prefer the blue & fuck you). Indie rock as a style goes against everything I think is admirable about the genre. You know what's cool about indie rock? People who say and do whatever they want (mostly in an effort to keep from getting bored). So speak up nirra, and save us all. ashod good new music you never heard: Rodriguez "Swing Like a Metronome" on Devil in the Woods Records (www.devilinthewoods.com). Produced (in part) by Grandaddy's Jason Lytle. Minor chords and tales of longing from California's Central Valley plus an interesting cover of Sonic Youth's "Tom Violence". Get it.
