It hasn't always been that way. At one point people were getting slammed for 
trying to introduce new and interesting music (in the same vein as MM) to the 
group.  Once it was decided (By some ass I assume) all topics should be 
strictly about the mouse and nothing else, there was a two week long 
conversation about which color Modest Mouse T-shirt was coolest (Personally I 
prefer the blue & fuck you). Indie rock as a style goes against everything I 
think is admirable about the genre. You know what's cool about indie rock? 
People who say and do whatever they want (mostly in an effort to keep from 
getting bored). So speak up nirra, and save us all.
