wow..thats cool as hell that you got to see the great one at a holiday inn??
it is too bad though that it was in midland/odessa..zack is right, that
place is one hell of a craphole..but, to see srv..wow!
It was very cool, although again, I wasn't old enough to fully appreciate
SRV.
He died a few years later. Now I live in Austin, they have a statue of him
and
all this other stuff, but I get tired of hearing the same SRV songs on the
radio.
Best show EVER was at the Ector County Colloseum - Run DMC and Jazzy
Jeff/Fresh Prince/ JJ Fad/ Public Enemy. First time I saw a show with
explosions and fire and what not.. that was DMC and all for a crowd of no
more than 3000 or so people. We felt like the only white kids
in the whole place. Great show. Really crappy colloseum, but it had
character.

I wish I was there, but no, I was uhm, and the dollar movie watching
Magnolia at the discount
show place on Wells Branch in Travis County, Austin, TX. I wish I would have
been at the modest mouse show. Seen them 3 times this year, and hopefully a
fourth at This Ain't No Picnic if all goes well and I make it there and find
a place to stay!!
I was just saying how it's always good when the rowdy person gets kicked out
of the show. Unless that rowdy person turns out to be you of course!
