I like (Apache 2.0 w/ mod_perl and mod_python). I think when you start
managing more and more machines (I've 3 at home!) that it's easier just to
keep them all bleeding edge and updated. I don't even build my own software
outside of a few RPMs I maintain anymore as it w
to 775 or 755. 777 is plain stupid.

this is for a good reason. You create content, and perhaps suggest a way it
should be rendered via CSS. They decide how it should actually appear, and
they may or may not honor your idea of what it should look like. Trying to
violate this will only lead to difficulty.

I had a problem with XML::Parser, which seg faulted only when run from apache.
It may be a similar problem, perhaps? Expat has caused problems for many...
Walk through your script and see where it seg faults, if it seg faults in the
script...
