File Upload mod_perl to mod_perl2

Could anyone advise which file upload method to use that is be written in 
mod_perl that will be migrated to mod_perl2 at a later time? 

And, generally, which particular package from mod_perl (1) should be 
avoided. 

Any insight will be helpful.
