You could just launch the sftp command using system(), or better,
the IPC::Run module from CPAN that was discussed here some time ago. I
would be surprised to hear

I use the module Net::SFTP;
use Net::SFTP;
$host=remote host adress;
%args=(user= username,
password=user_password
);
my $sftp=Net::SFTP-new($host,%args);
$sftp-get($remote_file);
