Hi all, I'm using mod_perl for about two years and have no significant problem. But yesterday I tried to install mod_perl 2.0.2 on my machine and got this:
cc -I/usr/local/src/lamps/mod_perl-2.0.2/src/modules/perl -I/usr/local/src/lamps/mod_perl-2.0.2/xs -I/home/www/phpperl/include/apache -I/home/www/phpperl/include/apache -I/home/www/phpperl/include/apache -D_REENTRANT -D_GNU_SOURCE -DTHREADS_HAVE_PIDS -DDEBIAN -fno-strict-aliasing -I/usr/local/include -I/usr/lib/perl/5.8/CORE -DMOD_PERL -DMP_COMPAT_1X -DLINUX=2 -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=500 -D_BSD_SOURCE -D_SVID_SOURCE -O2 -fPIC \ -c modperl_xsinit.c && mv modperl_xsinit.o modperl_xsinit.lo modperl_xsinit.c: In function `xs_init': modperl_xsinit.c:30: error: `my_perl' undeclared (first use in this function) modperl_xsinit.c:30: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once modperl_xsinit.c:30: error: for each function it appears in.) modperl_xsinit.c:30: warning: passing arg 3 of `Perl_newXS' from incompatible pointer type make[1]: *** [modperl_xsinit.lo] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/lamps/mod_perl-2.0.2/src/modules/perl' make: *** [modperl_lib] Error 2 I'm compiling with: perl Makefile.PL MP_APXS=/home/www/perl/sbin/apxs make Same problem is with mod_perl 2.0.1 which I installed without problem some time ago. I have no idea what I have wrong, from README and other documentation I cannot see some dependecies which can make this bug. I think that maybe there is missing some module or some module is corrupted.... $ perl -v This is perl, v5.8.4 built for i386-linux-thread-multi System is Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 with standard perl modules and some modules packaged with dh-make-perl from CPAN.
