I'm building mod_ssl-2.7.1-1.3.14 and apache_1.3.14 under Solaris 2.6.
OpenSSL is built as a shared library, installed in /usr/local/lib.
When I started apache, I got these errors:
# /usr/local/apache/sbin/apachectl startssl

hi. i was creating a new cert for thawte website verification, when i
noticed these 2 "extra" questions during the csr creation:
Please enter the following 'extra' attributes
to be sent with your certificate request
A challenge password []:
An optional company name []:
are these used for
The Red Hat Apache/SSL manual states
"You don't need to use either of the
extra attributes." and just suggests
hitting Enter to bypass them. Doesn't
say what they are used for if you did
use them.
