AuthType and SSL

want to set up series of directories that give access to some people and not others. So will SSL encrypt every file and subdirectory under the first directory that is set. I just want to make sure I am not sending out unencrypted passwords. Thanks, Keith Vance West Coast Administrator/Network

apachectl startssl is now working.

how to force changes made in httpd.conf

That's the way I would do it, compile it. But I thought I heard someone posting a message on how to make the rpm's work. Compiling it yourself is pretty easy and you might learn some things along the way. But some people like to only install rpms, I am not one of those people. K
