I have an web application (CGI script) that uses SSL Client
certificate fingerprint to pass/reject users.
Currently in modssl I have many SSL_CLIENT_S_X variables, but no
way to find out the certificate fingerprint (the one I see with
openssl x509 -fingerprint command).

I recently had similar problem that IE4 does not get graphics in
situation when:
1) HTML source is got from POST (not GET).
2) The graphics had never pointed before (so they are not in brauser
cache).

You can use Apache+mod_ssl as well - we use fe.
Put Stronghold into platform.
