I am sorry if this has been answered before. I didn't find anything in the
mod_ssl or mod_perl documentation.

The question arose from reading thru a SSL Protocol memo by Kipp E.B.
Hickman. It states that during the SSL handshake, both the client and
the server agree on a 'connection-id' and a 'session_id'. Both will be
used for further communication after the handshake and as far as I
understood, the 'connection-id' will never change during a session.

I would like to retrieve both the 'connection-id' and the 'session_id'
from within mod_perl. Is this possible? Does anyone know how to do it?

Thanks for any answers on this!
    Harry
