(monit RPM)
I don't know ... that's the question for monit's EPEL package maintainer.

Hi, Martin.
Great news.
I've been installing Monit from the EPEL repo, but it's pretty far out-of-date.
I know you aren't involved with EPEL, at least not directly, but do you have
any idea as to whether the EPEL release is being maintained?
Best,
Dimitri

And have Monit always watches linked file. I guess the inode will change but
it was going to change the old way too.

Hello, all.
I'm trying to have Monit restart a service based on a keyword in a particular
file. That file changes name by appending today's date at the end, as in
"myprogram-server.log.processed-2017-05-13". So, I have to craft a check that
takes the changing date into account. Here's what I

Abdellah,
You're off-topic here. And, top-posting is
probably a no-no (I'm doing just for continuity's
sake).
I think you're looking for more of an IDS-type
tool rather than monit. Try OSSEC-HIDS.

Hi, all.
I'd like to be able to fire off a local program only if a remote program goes
down. How do I set up monit to do this?
Thanks.

All,
I originally posted this early last week, but am not sure if it got

your help with it:

Hello, all.
I have a client who's running MySQL, and a couple of his database tables are
of the type HEAP (table contents are stored in memory). Thus, if MySQL stops
for any reason, data in the HEAP tables are lost. Fortunately, he has the
same data stored in non-HEAP tables. He's asked me t

Hello to all.
I've had clamav, installed from source, running on a CentOS 3.8 box for quite
some time. Recently, the program has begun to close unexpectedly due to a
segfault. Of course, I'm doing what I can to correct this problem. Until I
do, I'd like monit to monitor and restart clamav as
