linux machine. I'm using a Debian distribution. So I downloaded all
filesfrom http://www.debianplanet.org/mono/dists/stable/main/binary-all/.
I wondered because the size of all files were below 10MB.

I think you should compare mono to the .NET framework SDK, not to vstudio.
