I was wondering if
it is possible to compile ASP.NET(Visual Basic) code in windows and run it
with the clr by mono on Linux without any further compiling of any
sort.

Yes, you can. There are two drivers to access PgSQL databases and also
you can use ODBC. The drivers are Npgsql and Mono.Data.PostgreSqlClient.

You can add this in your YaST source
http://ftp.novell.com/pub/mono/download-stable/openSUSE_11.1/
Also the default YaST software package UI will give you all the Mono
packages. Check http://en.opensuse.org/YaST_Software_Management

the libs by hand on /usr/lib/mono/gac/ but these should be done in
monodevelop where can i make them permanent on monodevelop. please help
standart install after OS install only yum install monodevelop.
