There is a Mono port for FreeBSD but it's an old version if I remember correctly (0.30). I downloaded the Mono source which compiled but wouldn't install, issues relating to the garbage collection - I found this article back then which makes interesting read: http://muc-central.com/articles/in

Anyone had success with this version? There seems to be a lot of work on WIndows and lots of Linux distros, but I had not heard much about the BSD's except the occasional message about OpenBDS recently.   I have been thinking about giving it (FreeBSD) a wirl with GNOME and Mono, but was not sure
