Kevin, I saw a card sold twice on Bruce's site, the same card by the way, and I have no idea as to what that is? Assuredly an anomaly as it has a plane at an angle in the corner and yet no information in the border. Best, Grey -Original Message- From: Kevin Conway [mailto:treasur...@ear

Grey, I was using your sold HA lobby cards as reference and realized the consistency of the "Upright" plane in the 1930 release and the re-release you sold with plane at 320% angle. When I get this I will examine the borders for retoration -Original Message- >From: "Smith, Grey - 1367"

Bruce and I were talking about these cards just the other day, and he has what looks to be (from the small scan in his archives) an unrestored one that has the angled airplane and no 1937 re-release information. But the colors on the card are certainly different from the colors on the 1930 rele

If Grey is correct (and it certainly is possible he is), then I have been sold cards so expertly altered that I was fooled (and even before Mendez, there were other unscrupulous restorers who did such criminal alterations). I will do as I always do in these situations and look back over the images

Hi Kevin, I have both cards on file. The image is that of the 1937 but the 1937 has the copyright on the bottom right and the UA tag on the bottom left. Has the card been restored? We have run into numerous pieces where the restorer had to put back borders that had been trimmed or damaged. We have
