Hey, who knows anything about the Frankenstein/Dracula combo pressbooks
that showed up a couple years back? 8.5 x 11, duotone green and white
cover, 2 staples at top, 10 pages, b&w interior, blank back cover. They
showed up on eBay as a "warehouse find," and were sold for $40-50 each. I
bought two
I have only sold one, and it went for $83.
I put it as R60s (because there is *NO PRAYER* it is from 1938), and wrote
this:
*Note that we have never before auctioned this pressbook, which is very
mysterious. It has all the information and ads for the 1938 double-bill,
but the paper it is printed
I’m pretty sure I got my copy from Pat Patterson, Jr. I worked for him on "The
Body Shop” (aka Dr. Gore) when I was still in college. Pat was a roadshow
maestro who would four-wall films packaged with his brand of Spook Show games
and mayhem. This piece feels like the kind of home-made advertis
