Thanks for giving these links to the articles.. it sure is surprising there
gave been no other responses as this always seems like a "hot" topic..
although whining about Ebay maybe has trumped even this important and
continuing story..

Peter,
you are showing a delivery confirmation number.

I have looked around online over recent months... searching various online
book sellers... MANY ship large and heavy books for this price, if not a
little less. So i would hardly call it "sickening" that ebay is similar in
this regard.
my only other question is.. why does one need 3 copies of this
Why would you not read the fine print on any auction house you dealt or deal
with? That would be the first thing anyone should do--rather than step into
something uninformed.
Then you would know the parameters as well as their policies, from the
start.

Hi Michael,
After reading your response-- all i can say, initially, is.. Unreal.
Your spin (and weak marketing verbage) to defend the placement of catalogs
and books in an ORIGINAL poster section from the pre 1940s is astounding.
What if the magnets, tee shirts and coffee cups have original poste

I wanted to ask, with all the issues with ebay and people advertising in
wrong categories, wong decade, new, old, repro rather than original, etc.
..why does one seller always advertise old poster catalogs (which are books
and NOT posters) in the Original Poster category? These ads are poster

I ran across this old posting from Sept.. what was the final outcome of all
this DRACULA business? does anyone know? Was the poster returned and
unmounted? examined? any other info who created it, etc?

thanks for the input, sue.
these arent ebay items but being sold thru a private seller. the framing
looks low quality and like newer wood, as do the mats.
to me, too.. if a seller doesnt want to ship without the frame, i would be a
little concerned, too, because of potential damage and the fact t

hello mopo'ers,
i was trying to help a friend out who was looking at these framed posters
(half sheets are 2, and the other appears to be a one sheet but have no
size reference).
i told my friend that the red flag on the 2 of them (RIDE RYDER RIDE and
SANDFLOW) is that they have been framed and
pretty stunning, that's for sure:

Whoever this restorer is cannot even spell the word, FIRST, (First National
Pictures). And in the second closeup, the orange background caught my eye.
What kind of print process is this? This film is from 1933. It isnt stone
lithography, with that "dot" pattern? Is this offset printing? And would

expense recoup.. i was going to do ebay for him

Hello--
I was told about this poster group and wanted to say hello. my name is Kerry
and i think posters, especially the noir pieces, Hitchcock, from the 40s and
50s are great. i look forward to learning and some interesting reads.
I see that other member list things for sale, too, now and then.
