I just received a personal phone call from eBay, that they indicated was
going to all Powersellers, which warned sellers that the listing of certain
items would be limited by number, and time frame. In other words, a seller
may
be able to list ITEM X, only 100 times, in a period of 90 days. The eBay
representative went on to explain that sellers could apply for exemption, or a
lessening of restrictions, but only after the first 90 days had passed. She
indicated the phone call was about to end. Before she could hang up, I asked
if I could ask her a question.

I asked WHAT specific items were being restricted, and the representative
had no idea.

I asked if this phone call had anything to do with the fact that a French
court found eBay liable for 40 million euros yesterday, for allowing
fake/counterfeit/bootleg items to be sold on their online auction website.
The eBay
representative said she had no knowledge of such an occurrence.

I told her that this was the most bizarre phone call I have ever received,
and that if I feel I needed further clarification, I will call eBay Powerseller
support, and wait for 40 minutes until they answer the phone.
