Almost 50 vintage
animation posters will be auctioned in Heritage's Vintage Poster Auction
next week. We are offering a wonderful selection of animation from a number of
studios in Hollywood history and a variety of characters. There are three
of the ultra-rare United Artists Mickey Mouse one sheets, Mickey's
Mellerdrammer (1933) and Mickey's Pal Pluto (1933) not to mention
the gorgeous stock one sheet introducing Mickey Mouse cartoons in Technicolor!
Also from Disney there is a great selection of Donald Duck one sheets
and Pluto and Goofy one sheets from all of their respective cartoon shorts.
But not only is there Disney cartoon shorts but there are posters from his
classic feature films such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as well
as Pinocchio and Fantasia to name just a few.
Also featured is a
great selection of Fleisher/Paramount Studios Popeye, the Sailor Man one sheets.
Three to be exact, from the period dating from 1937 to 1940 and including such
titles as Nurse Mates and I Like Babies and Infinks. Other
rarities include a Mutt and Jeff cartoon sheet from Fox Studios dated 1919
called Oil's Well That Ends Well.
