NEW FEATURES AND ca. 700 1-SHEETS FOR $5 OR LESS AT CKMAC.COM

We're the first to admit that the 700 or so $5 1-sheets we've added to our
inventory won't be every collector's cup of paper: Yet for collectors who are
trying to complete sets on contemporary stars, directors, or studios; for
others who are building large inventories of titles; for those who have been
looking for a particular title because it was so-and-so's first job or for any
of the other thousand reasons people pick up a collectible that "no one" else
cares about; or for those who are decorating a '90s theme party or a Forward
Operating Base where selectivity isn't key - this could be your lucky day or we
could be your lucky store or... something!

Most of these posters will be listed at ckmac.com by title only, without images
or much else in the way of details, and we expect eventually to add press kits,
trading cards, and other items in a similar format. We're offering aggressive
volume discounts, explained in the item listings, and please be sure to contact
us if you'd like to put together a large package. In addition, for now and
until further notice, if you purchase a poster from our regular inventory,
we'll throw in the bargain poster of your choice at no additional charge.

FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE...

In order to add these items without cluttering up the "gallery" listings
unnecessarily, we've created two new view options: When browsing galleries,
you can now click on the SHOW/VIEW WITHOUT toggling links to include or exclude
bargain titles or item images - in the latter case toggling between an image
gallery and a "raw" title/price/format list. The default, except when viewing
bargain items alone as a "genre," is "no bargains/show images": So, if you
like it the old way, just ignore the links that appear at the upper right in
the gallery pages. We've also adjusted the shopping cart to make it easier if
you're putting a list of prospective purchases together: Instead of jumping
from the item to the cart every time you add an item, you'll stay "home" in
whichever gallery or listing.

These are new features. Naturally, we hope they're not "glitchancements," and
we'll appreciate any suggestions or problem reports. We also hope that
instability and other problems caused during our recent migration to a new web
server and applications are over. One side-benefit is that searches for items
with apostrophes are handled properly by the latest version of the MySql
database application.

NEXT UP

As far as 1-sheets go, we've got another 700 or so individual 1-sheet titles
that we'll be listing "normally" (individually photographed, graded,
researched, and priced) over the course of probably several months. Beyond
that, we have large numbers of press kits, large format posters and banners,
lobby cards, mobiles and standees, toys and promo items, and all sorts of other
things, too, to go through before we've exhausted on-hand but not yet listed
inventory. (Things sometimes go slowly with our own material, since we usually
give first priority to new consignments or acquisitions.)

As ever, feel free to drop me a line with any questions, comments, or
suggestions.

Best,

Colin
