I just mentioned Johnny Sheffield on MOPO a couple of weeks ago, in response
to a question: Which great legends are still alive? What a sad coincidence.
I loved watching him in the Tarzan, and later in the Bomba movies. As a

I loved all those Tarzan movies with Jane and Boy. Funny though, i never saw a
Bomba movie. I wonder if any of them are on video.
From the obit , it sounds like Johnny was a guy who had his head on straight.

from everything I ever read on Johnny he was a very smart balanced
fellow. If I recall, he went into business after the Bomba series and
was very successful
the Bomba movies are actually pretty good for the small budgets they
had. I think Johnny's father was a co-producer or manager and
