When Bush the First  ran for his single term (history didn't repeat in the case
of the other one...arghh!), I was stunned to hear that The GHWB campaign ran to
the jaunty song, "The Best Is Yet To Come"--- from the Broadway musical "La
Cage aux Folles."  Whether or not rights were obtained, the song's presence as
the "big hit" from the (made-for-straights) "gay" musical was quite amusing!
No one ever told the Not-So-Silent Majority!

Too bad George the Second didn't warn us during his first campaign by choosing
another song from that musical for HIS campaign---- "I Am What I Am!"

He sure is!!!

Hi off topic fans,
I believe that George Will? wanted to use Springsteen's Born in the USA in
one of the Bush Jr. campaigns. Broooce declined.
