Dear Barton and all,
While I am not a huge Star Wars fan, I do enjoy
the films. They are reminiscent for me of my childhood where I would watch
all the old serials on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. While the stories can
sometimes be thin and the dialogue a bit corny, I believe there are
underlying lessons to be learned from them such as honor, loyalty, friendship,
humility, good and evil. Many of the same characteristics found in "movies about
people." The Star Wars saga is especially fun for me now that I have
children of my own. It's a movie we can all go and watch together and have
a great time. Have you seen Shrek? That was a fun "cartoon" movie. For me,
movies are about entertainment. But, of course, I like Velveeta too! Have a
great and safe weekend everyone.

Star Wars Me, too!
Don't worry Shelly, you're not the only person who hasn't seen
this film. Nor have I, nor do I have any intention ever to see it, on
the big screen or small. Films are about people. This film is
about things. It's a film PRODUCT - the equivalent of Velveeta. If
I want cheese, I eat cheese. If I want to see a movie, I don't go to a
live action cartoon designed to appeal to the average 13-year old boy.
Just my 2
cents.
Barton
