The best tri-folded poster I ever had was a Forbidden Planet that was
tri-folded and mint (and I mean eMoviePoster.com mint) with zero
restoration.
I stupidly gave it to Camden House in 1991 to auction at a time when the
poster usually sold for $2,500 in nice condition. It sold for $5,500 plus
$55
I've had trifolded posters from the 1950s (for example Viking Women &
the Sea Serpent) all through the 1970s..
I even have a Loving You trifolded (Elvis)

Just a question.. back when US one sheets were machine folded (up
until the 80's), was there ever a period when they were ONLY tri
folded (thus not having a fold that ran down the center from top to
bottom)? it would seem that the machine that did the folds would do
them all the same way?
