Greetings and salutations, MORPHMETTERS, and many wishes for a Happy New
Year!

I have a new software utility that does nothing particularly morphometric
available from the software section of:

http://morphlab.sc.fsu.edu/

This is morpheus_eProbe, and can be found on the "Misc." page. It is a
utility to probe the Java and OpenGL environment of your computer.

I developed this to enhance the information collected by the environment
probe that will eventually find its way into Morpheus et al. I also plan to
use it as a test platform for developing other functions, methods, and
features that may find their way into the much larger Morpheus system.

This is the first time, too, that I have made available the fully commented
source code under the Apache 2.0 license and have included the JavaDoc
pages for the entire program. My intention is eventually to release all of
my code under some sort of open-source license.

NOTE: The User's Guide link is correct, but temporarily misnamed on the web
page.

NOTE TO MAC USERS: In the past, Apple has distributed outdated versions of
Java3D that can interfere with more recent Java3D apps (like Morpheus). All
of my systems are "clean" despite several OS upgrades, but I understand
this may still be a problem. I would be interested in hearing from Mac
users on this. Please see the user documentations for details and contact
information.
