I had found some really good strategy posters to print out, but I couldn't
access my color printer. DH finally fixed it and I can, and now I can't find

The best book to use for setting up a Reading Workshop is:
Growing Readers by Kathy Collins.
She tells you everything you need to know for grades K-2.
Easy to read, well organized and excellent advice.
I heard her speak at a workshop this past summer - she was wonderful - very
down to earth.

1st of all, what grade do you teach? If you are primary, I'd look to
Apprenticeship in Literacy, by Dr. Linda Dorn. Guiding Readers and Writers for
Grades 3-6 by Fountas and Pinnell, for those grades.

It really is just what it says. The teacher writes sentences about the
topic the kids will be studying...for example, before we began our science
