I thought Skinner was a behaviorist theorist? I would think that his followers
would teach positive and negative reinforcement of isolated skills rather than
a love of reading.

Is this the standard you are asking about?
Determine a theme or central idea of a text and analyze its development over
the course of the text, including its relationship to the characters, setting,
and plot; provide an objective summary of the text.
Here's what I'd do with it.
Take a meaty
I'm a brand new teacher interviewing for my first job and I have an interview
next week as an elementary Basic Skills teacher. Can anyone give me any advice
on how to answer those interview questions?

Answer them with confidence. Know what you are talking about. Investigate the
