The Daily 5 is a reading/writing workshop approach to teaching reading. My
school implemented this approach in the primary grades last year and I saw
students' reading increased, as well as assessment scores. To prepare for this

We've been using D5 in first grade for the last 3 years - we have 90 minute
Literacy and Math blocks (we use the D5 structure for Math also) we've made
modifications regarding the number of rotations (we do 4 rotations so we call
it Daily 4 - Read with Teacher; Read with Technology; Word Work/W
