My district uses the DRA and the benchmark assessment from our reading series.
We give the DRA in the fall and spring to everyone. If a child is below grade
level we also give them the DRA in January.

I just spent a week deconstructing the Common Core ELA for 5th grade. I don't
know if you would call it exceptional.
