I've read only Mosaic of Thought earlier -- but To Understand is far different
in my opinion. It isn't a replacement of Mosaic, by any means; I'd
characterize it as deepening and broadening Mosaic.

How children learn is
One way to find great lists of leveled text is to go to Scholastic's
Book Wizard:
http://bookwizard.scholastic.com/tbw/homePage.do
You can enter in the level in a variety of ways (Lexile, grade
equivalent, etc.) and make selections for interest level, genre, and
topic/theme.
As many of you know, many of us have been discussing Ellin Keene's new book

nearly finished ...chapter 9 begins shortly...and we will be finished with the
