Just a thought but Nothing but the Truth by Avi. Story is about a boy who refused to do the pledge but the consequences for various stake holders spread out over time. Told through "primary documents" from various stake holders representing various points of view. Story never tells you "the truth." My students had a fit trying to find the truth but understood in the end the complexities of the issue(s). I love Avi and would love to hear from anyone else re using this story.
