I see this as a MUST read for all California children...if I had the luxury of enough copies for all children...I would definitely read it aloud, talk and discuss as the kids followed a long...If you read 1 or 2 chapters a day, it does not take that long and there are two many good parts (cliff hangers) that I do not want kids to miss as they read it on their own...I guess I like the drama of my own voice and knowing what is coming...like the scary music in a movie...you know something eerie is about to happen...
