What the first two chapters made me realize was the simplest changes in what we say can make a world of difference . It doesn't matter if you are talking to your students,your children ,spouse or friends. Once the food was named road kill it was no longer dinner!!! Sent from my iPad

What this says to me is that the words we use in our classrooms are important. How we name a mistake a student makes... how we frame it for our students makes a difference. One of my favorite quotes (perhaps not as eloquently put or as evolved as Johnston's writing) that I've had posted
