This afternoon I enjoyed Common Loons on both Lake Calhoun, and Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. It's such a pleasure to watch such a big bird cruise on the lake like a submarine then dive, and disappear so quickly and effortlessly. On Lake Calhoun there are also lots of Red-breasted Mergansers.
