speaker at the Minnesota River Valley
Audubon Chapter meeting this Thursday (9/25/03) at 7:30 at the Minnesota River
Valley National Wildlife Refuge Vistors'
Center.

This morning Leslie Marcus and I walked in Wood Lake Nature Center in
Richfield. There were quite a few Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Palm, Yellow-rumped,
Orange-crowned, Nashville, Wilson's, Black-and-white, and Common Yellowthroats.
There were 3 Eastern Phoebes, House Wrens, Marsh Wrens, Eastern Wo
Just before 10am this morning I saw a male Black-throated Blue Warbler on
the bluff trail west of the Old Cedar Bridge parking lot. The bird was seen
from the first short bridge after the two long bridges in with a group of
other warblers--about five Nashvilles and one Orange-crowned.

This is the Minnesota Birding Report for Saturday September 20th.
This tape is being updated to report on the juvenile SABINE'S GULL
found today by Peder Svingen. The gull was observed from
Friday (9/19) A minimum of 200 Blue Jays flew over Carpenter Nature Center
along the St. Croix River in the am. Scattered flocks of 12 to 40 birds, all
flying south. Also Red breasted Nuthatch, Purple Finch, White throated Sparrow.
