Today I saw the first male bluebird of the season in Afton. Yesterday coming back from Hudson there was 12 bald eagles soaring above I94 on the MN side probably looking for deer carrion. Also while crossing the bridge there was 4 swans near beer can island north of bridge. david

Saturday afternoon (2/25) the Mississippi River ice north of the Ford Bridge (between Minneapolis and St. Paul) had broken up and exposed open water. There were 5 bald eagles on the ice, one adult and four immatures, with lots of crows around them. When I returned, the adult and two immatures
