Yesterday I was in the mine dumps near Bovey (an area called Seven Cities) and stumbled upon a Common Nighthawk nest. The adult pedaled around on the ground between bushes using its wings like arms, apparently performing a distraction displaykind of looked like when a cat scratches its rear
