This afternoon I found a Loggerhead Shrike in southern Steele County.
The bird was perched on the telephone wire on the north side of CR 55
just east of CR 45. The area is part of somewhat of a ridge and is
adjacent to extensive grasslands, and so the habitat there looks good
for this speci
Fifteen years ago, I began as a solo birder - loved to hike since early
years, started noticing birds (only took me 20+ years), someone gave me an
