Hey birders! I decided to get in on the Buff-breasted Sandpiper activity and checked out a sod farm east of Mapleton, MN. There were about 20 Killdeer, 20 Pectoral Sandpipers, and a single Buff-breasted Sandpiper working over the bare dirt. To get to this sod farm take CR 21 east from Mapleton

Nathan & I birded the general Sherburne Refuge area on Saturday AM - rather pedestrian morning - did, however, have 10 shorebird species - including Nathan's brief look at the Buff-breasted on the Auto Tour (Little Bluestem Pond). Best locations for shorebirds was the agricultural pond at the 3
