Highlights from Carver Park this morning included a great look at an
American Bittern from King Blind, a Connecticut and Blackburnian Warbler,
and a Philadelphia Vireo near the Tamarack Bog. The most active areas were
along the trails on the south side of Crosby Lake and in the trees near
Ki

After running into Mike Hendrickson at Park Point around 1:00 today, I
continued birding until 4:00 between Southworth Marsh and the old bath
house at the Recreation Area. Combining his species with the additional
ones I saw, there was a composite total of 24 warbler species in all.

My next door neighbor just got a water feature last night. The water flows
from the front of his yard along the edge of the property and into Quiggley
Lake. I don't think we will be able see much impact. The city is coming
today to dig up the water main.

On a beautiful sunny Sunday MRVAC sponsored a field trip to Miesville Ravine
Park in south east Dakota County. This Dakota County park actually spills
