Went west today (Saturday) to Lac Qui Parle, via Swift County and up to
Ortonville. Again there are many thousands of Geese and a good smattering of
ducks
in the open water areas and many flocks of geese and ducks going out to the
surrounding fields to feed. The largest numbers are Canadas, all

American Kestrel on the power lines at the stockyard on the corner of
201st Ave and Cty Rd 26.
Canada Goose, several small groups heard and seen this week including
one lone goose in Itasca State Park.
Dark-eyed Junco, a single bird appeared
The sandhill cranes just arrived, flying over our farm in Pomroy
Township, Kanabec County! They are right on time -- March 22nd last
year and March 21st the year before.
