Ten White-winged Scoters flew past us heading northwest up Big Stone
Lake on Saturday. Lars Benson, John Ellis, and I were at the wayside

Gulls were gathering again today at Wisconsin Point, Douglas County.
This area can be reached by driving US 2/US 53 to the eastern end of
Superior, then turn left at the sign for Wisconsin Point / Moccasin
Mike Road. Most of the birds were on the ice of Allouez Bay as the

Spring projects and today a cold have kept me hanging around the house this
weekend. Yesterday, I rehung a wood duck house that I had rehabbed. Before
I hung it, I added some cedar chips and then decided to add a few dry
leaves. I openned up one of the two houses I have on poles with predato
