This guy was hanging around in my yard late this afternoon. Actually it
was the second time I've seen him there. He gave me enough time to grab my
camera and tripod, but it was still very difficult to follow him as he
moved through the tree branches. I've always found photographing warblers
to be a

The Brant was still present late this afternoon. Apparently, no large
events are scheduled at the stage until June 6th, so perhaps it will
hang in until the weekend.

Sometimes the birds we don't see during migration can be as interesting as
those we do.
This year (to date) it's the Ruby-throated Hummingbird - a commoner here.
It's not that they're not back - the area MOU trip had one Saturday (I was
looking elsewhere) - my son Nathan has seen multiple - the

Nothing like the Sax-Zim bog to bring people together! Standing on the
Arkola Road with black spruce bog on either side and no other folks
within miles were several birders visiting. They included Sparky and his
group of four Texans, another car with a person from Sweden accompanied
by someone
16 warblers still present on Blue Hill Trail, Sherburne NWR this morning -
plus a Lawrence's backcross that was also heard/seen during Saturday's field
trip - however, numbers of birds had begun to diminish a bit, and only two
Yellow-rumpeds were present.

The Brant was still present this morning at 6:00 am in Duluth,
foraging in the grass in front of the stage at Bayfront Festival Park
on the waterfront near the aquarium.
